Empowered Teacher

Last March 13, 2019, I had the honor to be one of the speakers at DepEd Cyber Expo.  Thank you for inviting me Mark Anthony Sy, who was my co-leader for Google Educator Group Ortigas.

I shared my experience as an empowered educator.  Teacher Empowerment: Key in Redefining Effective ICT Integration and Implementation in the Classroom.  It is an overwhelming feeling to see dedicated educators from the Department of Education.  I shared my journey as an educator... an empowered educator!

I shared some very important key points:
* Train teachers to be leaders;
* Provide a venue for teachers to grow;
* Allow teachers to be creative; and
* Let teachers take a calculated risk.

I'd like to thank Saint Pedro Poveda College, for making me who I am as an educator, for training me to be the best that I can be.  As Saint Pedro Poveda said, You don't have to be rich in order to give, you just have to be good.  A good person has always something to give.  They trusted us by giving us individual work, just like the way we do it with our students.  It gives us a venue to exercise responsible freedom.

Thanks to Ms.Myna of QSR, Ms.Aileen of Google, and Ms. Maria Cristina Marquez for the photos!

It was also nice to see Mark Anthony Sy, Ms. Weng of Makati Science High School, Adrian Cruz,  and Mark Plaza (and your lovely wife) in the expo.

I am a product of a public San Vicente Elementary School, in Biñan, Laguna.  I learned a lot too from my teachers and advisers.  Now I am paying it forward by helping the Philippine Education in any way I can.
