I never get tired of reminding my students to be responsible when posting something online. I always tell them to THINK before posting something online. I always tell them that they have to answer first of these questions:
- Is it true? → Because it is only just to tell the truth, but not all true things should be posted online. They have to proceed and ask the next one.
- Is it helpful? → When someone read the post, it should help the person in one way or another.
- Is it inspiring/insightful? → The reader should also gain something from the post.
- Is it necessary? → There should be urgency in the matter.
- Is it kind? → If they answered YES to all the questions above, this one will be the last question. And if they still answered YES... go ahead and post it! If not, think again.
